FAQ
How do I get started?
Starting therapy is hard, so take it one step at a time. Complete the contact form and I will reach out to schedule a free 15 minute consultation call. During this call we will have an opportunity to get to know each other, determine initial treatment goals, and mutually decide whether or not we will work effectively together.
What can I expect in my first appointment?
The initial appointment will consist of a psychological evaluation in which I will collect information regarding your background and mental health history. This thorough evaluation will provide me with the information I will need in order to develop your treatment plan. The psychiatric evaluation will be a 60 minute appointment.
Where will we meet?
We can meet virtually on zoom or in person at my office at 26 Court Street in Brooklyn, NY.
How often will we meet?
We will meet weekly and sessions are 45 minutes long.
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance directly. I will provide the necessary documentation should you wish to submit for reimbursement with your insurance provider.
How do I know if I have out-of-network benefits?
I recommend that you contact your insurance provider to inquire if you have out-of-network benefits. It is best to do this prior to starting therapy so that there are no surprises or disruptions after starting.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept credit cards.
What are your fees?
My fee for the initial 60-minute evaluation is $385. My fee for 45-minute individual sessions is $295. I hold some spots for lower fee clients, so please inquire if my fees are cost prohibitive for you.
What is your cancelation policy?
If you need to cancel, I ask that you give 24 hours notice. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, you will be responsible for the full session fee. If you cannot avoid a late cancellation, I will work with you to try to find an alternative time for us to meet within the same week.
